(CBS) The Early Show stylist to the stars and Mall Makeover master David Evangelista hits the malls of America, kicking off yet another week of Mall Makeovers Across America. He starts the week at downtown Chicago's Water Tower Place, an eight-story mall chock full of stores, food court, and women needing makeovers.

As with the last time around, Evangelista lucked out and found the woman he wanted to make over almost as soon as he entered the mall.

Jennifer Logue, a 32-year-old pharmaceutical clinical researcher visiting Chicago from Raleigh, N.C., was roaming the food court at Water Tower Place on Michigan Avenue when he approached her. She originally said she had to get back to her hotel for a conference.

"I was supposed to go to some presentations yesterday, but when David came up to me and offered this, I was like, 'No way. I'm definitely going to have a makeover done,'" she says.

Evangelista and Logue went to the Kiva Salon on the ground level of Water Tower Place where Evangelista and Kiva's uber-colorist Carlo Michelutti decided that it was time to take Jennifer from blonde dull to spectacular siren blonde by bumping up her base color and painting a head full of bright blonde highlights. Logue's hair is naturally curly, but Evangelista decided that she needed a sleeker style. Her hair was a bit triangular shaped, so Evangelista cut into it, slicing out some of the bulk with a sassier layered 'do.

“I'm going to bring the length up, put some fun shaggy layers in there so you have that versatility to wear it curly or blow it out smooth doing the whole modern look,” he explained.

For Logue's makeup, Kiva's Darcy thought that it was important to even out her acne-prone skin, so she used a powder foundation that brought down some of the redness. She then focused on her eyes with a neutral palette, gave her a bit of flush with a pinky powder blusher, and highlighted her cheekbones with a cream highlighter. A rosy lipstick brought the new look together.

At Chicago's Marshall Fields, stylist Laurie helped Evangelista pull together a trendy look for Logue. A Dolce & Gabbana plaid flirty skirt was paired with a Catherine Malandrino top, a Kenneth Cole distressed leather jacket and BCBG maroon patent leather high-heeled boots.
